Hi! I’m Marko
I’m a former Android developer turned UX designer with a passion for accessibility, thoughtful interfaces, and human-centered technology.
As a student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), I worked as a front-end Android Developer, and was introduced to UX/UI Design at SimpliSafe while pursuing my degrees in Computer Science and Data Science. After graduating, I accepted a position at SimpliSafe, working in Android Development, while learning about UX principles.
While at WPI, I applied his basic knowledge of UX principles to several projects. The first was a mock desktop app to be used by Mass General Brigham. I led a front-end team consisting of 4 members into designing an application that aligned with requirements. I also designed a mobile app which assisted visually impaired users in experiencing the exhibits at the Worcester Art Museum. Using these building blocks, I furthered my learning of UI/UX through courses by Google and the University of Michigan. With this structured learning that fortified my understanding of the design process, I have began working as a freelance designer.
Now, I apply my technical foundation in design to build inclusive, impactful, and user-centered digital experiences.
